As we reported earlier, GTA: San Andreas is now rated adults only in the United States. Since then Take 2 Interactive shares have dropped, production of the game has been put to a stop, Developers Strikes Back and Hilary Clinton still think "M for Mature" is a rating meant for little children.

Since yesterday stores such as Walmart, EBGames, Target and Circuit City have removed all GTA San Andreas copies from their shelves. Even though Take 2 Interactive said they will be releasing a new version in the fourth quarter ,which will not contain any of the sex scenes, retailers including Wal-Mart and Best Buy said yesterday that they were not certain they would carry a cleaned-up version of the game.

EBgames, who have about 1500 stores around the US, is only removing it from their shelves for about a week. The company said it will give them enough time to put "Adults Only" stickers on each game.

Over all, about 55 percent of retailers who sells the game took the game off their shelves. When IGN interviewed Rockstar Games this is what they had to say about the "Hot Coffee" mod:

We are obviously aware of the mod community, but the skill, expertise and knowledge of Grand Theft Auto code required to create this mod surprised all of us. These elements were never meant to be found.

A patch for the current PC version of GTA: San Andreas is also expected to be released soon. Not only will it have some bug fixes, but it will also remove the sex scenes from the game.

its not like M for mature means M for small children.

also, in their original idea of making it so it cant be modified, isn't that like saying "we'll leave our easter eggs there, we'll just hide them better"

lets hope this "patch" has a fixed offset for memory addresses, like in VC, otherwise MTA, SA-MP, and sevral others (including myself) are gonna be banging their heads into the walls. :bashhead:

This is why Hilary Clinton should die. I hate her with a passion and it's just another reason to voice my hatred.

whats the difference between M and AO anyway?

is it just that AO Sounds Bad..... don't you have to be 18 to buy ethier of them?

why is hillary and everyone making a big deal over a little slip-up by the devs, why don't they just make a patch, and start selling that one instead

stupid hillary :jumpon:

What? M = 17 or 18 and above. AO = 21.

I just turned 16 last month, though, so you can consider me an 'illegitimate' player. I don't really give a damn, I personally believe that I am mature enough for AO movies. I don't get obsessed about sex. I'm born like that. ^_^

If only ESRB rated all GTA games E (everyone), it would be awesome, and R* is NOT to blame since they don't do the rating.

It's just a bad day for Grand Theft Auto, but they won't put us down! No matter how hard they try. Sure a few millions of dollars is going to be lost during the coming weeks... but we'll get through it.

Actually, AO is 18, and M is 17, the real problem seems that stores have a "policy" preventing them from selling AO games.

ADULTS ONLY

Titles rated AO (Adults Only) have content that should only be played by persons 18 years and older. Titles in this category may include prolonged scenes of intense violence and/or graphic sexual content and nudity.

also there is a "sex.scm" in scripts.img......kinda hard to miss........

also, they should have put somthing similar to the

"Game Experience May Change During Online Play"

thats on online games, somthing like

"Game Experience May Change Due To Modifacitons"

but, :R*: put the code there.

Hey guys...it's just funny to see the latest developements concerning these little sex-games in GTA San Andreas. This is funny in the USA.

Almost every household has a weapon and your politicians freak out at such banal things like little sex games.

Games like pose Postal 2 don't cause such a sensation anyway either.

Why your politicians are so sensitive concerning sex? Okay I know...Hillary Clinton gained experiences in her own family about that but I don't see any reason's to remove GTA: SA out of stores. Here in Europe (GER) nobody cares about that but if there's blood in games our polticians go overboard about that....crazy world. However, hope you already got your "uncensored" version and have fun as I have.

Although my english isn't that good I like this site...c ya guys! :yup:
